The debut album from Belgium's black 'n' roll outfit 'Plaag' can be downloaded for free here:
http://plaag.misantrof.net/
Recommended stuff. And you'll notice there's a link on the page in case you're decent enough people to buy the album if you actually like the d/l |

Checking it out just now. Thank you.
EDIT: It was decent but not overwhelming. Liked the chorus. |

Hi, thanks for mentioning VoidWork Hope you like the releases. I pretty much make music for the sake of the process, but it's always nice to know other people appreciate the work.
Meanwhile... There is a new one -Basement- coming out via Rage in Eden. You can check out some tracks off that on bandcamp as well: http://voidwork.bandcamp.com
More info on www.voidwork.com
Also, check out my other band's free downloadable album: http://akemmanah.bandcamp.com

Currently listening to that album. Can's really classify it yet. Not really death metal but definitely an extreme kind of metal |

Sisters of Your Sunshine Vapor - Detroit, MI Psych Rock, both albums are available in MP3 and FLAC on the right side of the page.
We Hunt Buffalo - Very solid, slightly psychedelic Stoner Rock with Doom influences.
Petrychor - ESSENTIAL Folk/Black from California
Oskoreien - More very solid Folk/Black from California
*Edit: Links fixed, fuckin' cut and paste decided the "http://" wasn't important. |

Their 2006 album "Das Prinzip" is avaiable to download, as well as the bonus tracks of the 2011 release "Injection"

The Petrychor is interesting - I know it goes with the style, but I can't help wanting the production to be a little clearer during the black metal parts. It's a great sweeping gale of sound but I really want to be able to hear some of the individual components a bit better, it's just a bit *too* messy for my ears. I also wish the changes weren't so sudden all the time. Sudden changes are great and can be used very effectively, but lose their impact when overdone. It's a cool album though, definitely will keep an eye on this band. Great acoustic guitar work, which is quite unusual.
Going to listen to the Sisters of your Sunshine Vapour now... |
