The Danish public radio has started something fantastic - a metal show each Sunday. It can be found on DAB radios and online. The title is Sort Søndag, which translates into Black Sunday.
One could fear that it would be mainstream and bland, but they do in fact have some pretty neat playlists. Here's the one from yesterday:

Two music TV stations in Germany have a Rock/Metal programme since not too long ago. One of those station usually just features black music. I was pretty surprised to see them doing a metal show

And for the record, the comment comes from someone living in a country that's the second rap market worldwide and that did have metal shows both on TV and radio until those musics from abroad started flooding the air in the 90's.
Black Sunday has a Ronnie James Dio special tonight. You can tune in here: http://www.dr.dk/musik/sort. They will among other things play an entire Black Sabbath show from 1982.

Yeah, France has a good proportion of rap and hip-hop. They have a large population of the ethnic minorities that tend to make up a large part of the rap/hip-hop sector, which might be why.
