While Helloween is clearly my favourite power metal band, hell they're near my favourite band of all after Maiden and Beatles, I just had to go with Sonata Arctica - The Cage. When I heard it live at Wacken 2003 I instantly fell in love and the love hasn't faded the slightest bit. The dream is alive.

Its hard when your two favorite songs are in the same damn poll but while both got seperate votes in seperate polls they cannot compete against each other so I'm gonna have to put Iced Earth ahead of Kamelot in this one. 10,000 strong it is, plus the video rocks! Sign of the devil dude!

Absolutely - I just chose power metal because it's one of my favourite genres and I love the epic anthems. It's been good fun for me listening to all the (or nearly all) 64 songs one YouTube and linking to them here. It would be awesome if someone else wanted to do it for other genres.

Kamelot - Forever. That song is the core and essence of Power Metal to me. It has all the clichés of the genre but without actually being cliché. The chorus could be the best ever.

That's because they nicked it off Greig Wink but I think it's my favourite of those listed here.
