| Type-O were never my favorite band, but they were awesome live and I would go see them whenever they came through, probably 5 or 6 times. You cannot compare the records to actually seeing the songs preformed with earth moving volume that penetrated your whole being. If you never saw them, you really missed out. |

I never met the man, but I was amazed by his presence on stage, especially the last couple of times when the crowds were smaller.
A few Type O songs are heavily associated with some of my fondest memories. World Coming Down is amazing. |

Around Bloody Kisses and October Rust I've seen more or less all Type O gigs close by. I remember seeing them at Dynamo festival in the late 90s. A friend of mine and myself sang every song throughout the entire set at such a volume, all bystanders probably didn't hear much of the original music. Ahhhh, the memories. 
And of course Type O helped with the girls 
It's really sad that their last record (a great one!) won't have a successor. And that there's no chance to ever see it performed live again (even though several people thought later Type O gigs to be somewhat lame) |

Yeah, funny that up until his death I always saw that he was 6'10". All of the sudden he's 6'7". Never met the man so I couldn't have made the comparison, but... That's be 2.01 meters at best  .

I don't think it would've worked out without Pete. He was just too charismatic to be replaced. And basically he was the band, as most of the stuff was written by him. Imho they should end Type O and start a new band with a new frontman.

| They have another band, Seventh Void. I expect some unreleased stuff will find its way onto the next greatest hits package, but Type-O is over. |

I only met him once, but I'm thinking he was about the same height as you Bear, maybe a little taller. Of course, everyone looks 7 feet tall to me.
They listed Heart Failure as the official cause, but are still waiting on toxicology. He had some pretty serious drug issues off and on so it wouldn't be surprising if that played a role in his death. He also battled psychiatric problems through out his life so I would imagine that stress / depression mixed with heart damage from drug abuse would take its toll on the ol' ticker.
He was too cool for school. |
