| Fukin' A!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Whether or not it's as good as Ironbound, it's still Overkill! There's ALWAYS a few songs on every album that kick ass! For my tastes anyway... Definitely will add to my collection! No previews necessary!!! |

*Bump*
I do expect a lot from that album; "Ironbound" was UNexpected... I feel that, this album will be a tHrash; the king of the garbage; the excrement and the unction. The putrefaction of Chaly, the smell of the dead and the light of the darkness.
D.D. Verni will surely impress us again, i have not doubt; I just hope that my Bobby, yes my Blitz will be better than ever.
It's so fucking cool to hear Over Kill going fast and thrashy; there's no band that can copy their style, Over Kill are unique. |

Check it! U.S. Tour Dates!!!
Long running New Jersey thrash metal band Overkill is set to release its 16th full-length recording since 1985 on March 27, 2012 through eOne Music in North American territories, followed by a March 30 release via Nuclear Blast in Europe. The album, titled The Electric Age, comes two years after what was considered both critically and in court of public opinion a welcome return to form in Ironbound, which more distinctly showcased the band's thrash metal origins than their previous works throughout the past two decades. Recorded in bassist D.D. Verni's New Jersey based Gear Recording Studio in Shrewsbury, the album's release will mark the beginning of a headlining tour for the band throughout April and May, also featuring Belphegor, Diamond Plate, and others.
A curious omission from the touring schedule is a stop at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ. This is a venue that they play seemingly every year, largely due to its proximity to Old Bridge, from which the band originally hails. Old Bridge has a distinct place in the history of the early days of heavy metal in the United States, having been host to the Old Bridge Militia, which was known in the 80s to host touring bands for the night in return for performances. Bands such as Metallica, Slayer, and Anvil, among others, were known for having received their hospitality. One would hope that the band plans to pay a visit to Ballroom following its nationwide tour, the dates of which can be found below:
Apr. 20 - Trocadero Theater - Philadelphia, PA Apr. 22 - Lost Horizon - Syracuse, NY Apr. 23 - Screamin WIllie's - Columbus, OH Apr. 24 - Blondie's - Detroit, MI Apr. 25 - Bottom Lounge - Chicago, IL Apr. 26 - Beaumont Club - Kansas City, MO Apr. 27 - Bluebird Theater - Denver, CO Apr. 28 - The Complex - Salt Lake City, UT Apr. 30 - El Corazon - Seattle, WA May 01 - Hawthorne Theater - Portland, OR May 02 - The Grand Ballroom - San Francisco, CA May 03 - Club Nokia - Los Angeles, CA May 05 - Emo's East - Austin, TX May 06 - Trees - Dallas, TX May 08 - The Club at Firestone - Orlando, FL May 09 - Culture Room - Ft. Lauderdale, FL May 10 - The Masquerade - Atlanta, GA May 11 - Jaxx Nightclub - West Springfield, VA May 12 - Best Buy Theater - New York, NY

| I got the new Overkill album in the mail today and it shreds! The one song, "Black Daze" is a midpaced groove/thrash song. But the album as a whole is pretty solid. If you liked Ironbound, you will like this album. |

| I prefer Ironbound, "The Electric Age" seems to lack a bit of that old school aesthetic that made "Ironbound" so great. However, this is only after early listenings. |

By "mistake", i've waited for the songs to come on you tube, really i did it just to read a few review before i hear The new album. I have half of the new album heard until now. Ironbound is great really.
The 5 first song by the way.
Ironbound has an enemy: The Electric Age.
An accident in the thrash metal world happened.
2 masterpieces in a row; never seen since the 80's ! |
