That's a killer lineup, I mean, Sodom, Melechesh, Autopsy, Gorguts...some damn fine bands there.

Naw. I would have bought in late fall, and I got shit canned in August. Even if I had a ticket at this moment however, there's no way I could afford a flight, or hotel, or drinks at the venue, or anything more than sitting at home watching TV on Memorial Day weekend. So I'm out, unless I get a job real soon. I just did my taxes today and surprise surprise, I fucking owe, so money is at a premium, I can barely afford to even wake up every morning right now.

Money is tight all around. I have a lot of budgeting to do for this one. One way flights are cheaper than round trip, so I figure.... instead of using my tax return for paying rent, I will buy Dennis and I one way tickets. Park benches in baltimore are pretty "homey" from what I can remember and I can pimp out Dennis for food money, but instead spend it on booze.

You've gotta have goals.

Malevolent Creation and 16 have canceled their appearances at MDF 2010. From Ashes Rise and Black Breath are now confirmed to appear on Sunday, May 30th. From Ashes Rise were added simply because we couldn't resist, and the replacement for Malevolent Creation will be announced next week.

I'm extremely heartbroken to say that it looks like I will not be making it this year. No one is as disapointed as I am. Lack of vacation time combined with Joe just getting a new job after working for commission only since July (imagine how much money that brought in...grumble) it doesn't seem like it's going to pan out. This has only fueled my fire for 2011. Perhaps if there is another fest in the fall sometime, I can go to that.

For people who are serious about going and getting a hotel in walking distance, NOW is the time to get it! I always book my hotel in February/March and you have your pick of hotels before rooms they start to sell out, and sometimes at a better rate. If you get a few people to go in on a room at the Tremont, that's your best bet.

The lineup this year is a little "meh" for me, but it doesn't matter who is playing, you won't remember them anyway. Smile Smile

From all of my experiences flying, roudtrip is about half the price of one-way flights. I know it seems counter-intuitive, but that's how it's always been. Well I know with one-way flights overseas anyways, maybe it is different for in-country.

And bummer about Malevolent Creation...

I'm gonna try my best to get to MDF this year but I'm broke and still haven't been able to find a babysitter. I haven't lost all hope yet, but it's not looking to promising. Sly and Jacqui are going as far as I know. I could probably get a ride with one of them. Right now finding someone to watch my daughter is the biggest obstacle. If I can get that taken care there may be a slight chance I will be to go.
