For the very first time in history of Wacken Open Air the WOA Metal Masters will be launched


The Metal Masters is a video-online voting for metal bands, the prize is a live-slot on the 21. Wacken Open Air in August.
Bands can upload a video on wackentube.com, all users will decide which video is the best during the time of 04/20/2010 to 06/30/2010.

Movie Night: Until the Light Takes Us

On Wednesday, 4th August at 10:30 pm there will be another highlight of this year’s WOA: UNTIL THE LIGHT TAKES US, a documentary about Norwegian Black Metal will be shown at the Movienight.
The film, published in 2008, shows the world of Black Metal and it’s meanings with lots of comments from famous Black Metal legends like Fenriz (Darkthrone), Frost (Satyricon) or Hellhammer (Mayhem). This film is not as cliché afflicted as others about this genre and shows a lot of background information.

If you want to know more about your favourite metal genre, this is a “must-see”!

Drinking Water at WOA 2010

for cooking, washing and of course drinking will be provided at the 5 Shower- and Toilet Camps. There we created some new points of withdrawal, because the tanks were empty most of the time last year.

As usual, the withdrawal of water is FOR FREE!

Pharmacy open at W:A

The DUHORN pharmacy in Wacken will be open during the festival. From August 2nd until August 7th it is open from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm; on Saturday only until 6.00 pm. You can order your medicine there and also buy some headache pills after drinking too much. And your blistered feet can be provided with ointment and plasters, too.
Also, it’s not too far away: you walk just about 600 meters from the festival area to the pharmacy.
