I don't know about a place for decent music other then Sonar. There are a lot of cool bars over at Fell's Point. If you are heading into town that early, you should go there. The two bars I usually hit are Bertha's and the Admiral's Cup, but I haven't been to either since 2007.

On a happier note...There are still a few folks driving down and instead of taking a train all the way to Maryland I think I may just be taking the train to RI and catching a ride with Sly and his friend. Blue may also be going as well, just not for the whole weekend. Trying to convince Kelly and Joe to go this past Saturday was an EPIC fail. I still haven't given up hope though.

Heh...the think the FAIL lies squarely at Kelly's feet on that account.

What happened is people change and when they do their priorities change. It's the same sort of battle I waged when trying to do the fests. Eventually I just realized you can't make people want to do something cool. Either that is their priority or it isn't. Either way, I just go on about my business and whatever happens happens. Usually the best times I have are when I don't try to make something happen.

If I could afford it....

But in all seriousness. I was turned down on a job a few weeks ago, and I was hoping to hear back from one this week. Being that it's past 6 on a Friday here, it won't be until at least next week (if ever, they said it would be quick cause they want to position filled by May 17th, but it's been over a week since they first contacted me). So the last remaining threads of hope for me being able to afford the trip are quickly being severed.

Which sucks.

Yeah. Unemployment doesn't pay me much, so every first week of the month after I pay student loans and rent, I spend a week broke. And I mean flat broke, not like those people that say "I'm so broke right now," while they have a few hundred dollars in a savings account or something. It's the same each of these first weeks: lots of Ramen and water.

I would love to be at MDF again, it's my number two priority, behind having money to afford to do cool things. As of right now, I literally have more money in my change jar than in my bank account, and it's not a big change jar, full of mostly copper.
